We offer Mega astronomical Tour on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 21:00 (limited vacancies). 

During the full moon week, Mega astronomical Tour will be changed by the Death Valley Trek.

Guests may book any or all of the weekly activities above on a chargeable basis. Activities are group activities and open to all hotel guests.

For the AM excursions, open until 20:00 the day before.

For the PM excursions, open until 12:00 of the same day. 

*Excursion programs may change depending on the weather or variables beyond the hotel’s control.

All tours require a minimum of 4 passengers, except for those passengers with ALL INCLUSIVE program.

Recommendations
*With excursions above 4,000 meters such as the Tatio Geysers and the High Plateau Lakes, acclimatization is required of at least 2 days after your arrival in San Pedro de Atacama.

*If you are going to cancel an excursion am, it must be done before 7:00 pm on the previous day, and before 10:00 am of the same day in case of pm excursions, otherwise, you will be charged 50% of the cost, and if they are included in your program, there will be no refund.

This valley is one of the most distinctive attractions of San Pedro de Atacama. After visiting different beauty spots, we will end the tour by enjoying a cocktail on a beautiful viewpoint waiting for the sunset.

From 5:30 am to 12:00 pm.

2 days of acclimatization are needed plus warm clothing, sunscreen and a swimsuit. Includes breakfast.

Tour through the geothermal fields where you can view the geysers, fumaroles and mud baths at dawn. After breakfast, take a dip in a rustic hot spring and then continue the tour to the Machuca village.

No acclimatization is necessary, but do not forget to wear trekking clothes, bring a swimsuit and lots of sunscreen as well as a windcheater.


Includes lunch. After trekking between cacti, relax in the thermal waters of the High Andes at the Punta del Inca amidst beautiful surroundings where the River Puritama (“hot water” in the Kunza language) spills into 8 different pools whose temperatures fluctuate between 29° and 33°C.

On this excursion we visit the town of Toconao with its church, markets and local handicraft shops. Then we go into the heart of the Atacama Salt flat to watch the flamingos in the beautiful lagoon.

From 9:00 am to 12:30 pm aprox.

Given the characteristics of the tour, we recommend wearing long trousers and windproof jacket. Medium / high difficulty.


36 kms Bicycle tour (round trip) to visit the first lagoons north of the Atacama Saltpan. It includes the experience of floating in Laguna Piedra, thanks to its high density waters given by the large amount of salt. We continue after with a 10 minute walk to the Cejar Lagoon, where you will enjoy a box lunch.

Acclimatization is not required. Windbreaker jacket, sunscreen, and a swimsuit are required. Includes lunch.
The lagoon is in the Atacama salt flat, and is a beautiful natural mirror reflecting the Andes. The water has a 40% salt concentration, where you can enjoy a bath and floar effortlessly. And Tebinquinche lagoon for lunch.

Acclimatization is not required but wear suitable trekking clothing and bring lots of sunscreen. Includes lunch.


We shall visit Yerbas Buenas: a rocky island that tells us, in its rock drawings, the ancestral history of the Lican-Antay people, after which we shall move on to Rainbow Valley: fascinating colored mountains where we shall stop for lunch.

Afterwards, we shall visit Río Grande, an ancient village lying between the Andes and the river, with its old church.

Meet one of the most spectacular places in the region; two lagoons at 4.300 meters that are located on the slopes of their respective volcanoes; Miñiques and Miscanti. On the tour we will have a privileged view of the Salar de Atacama and watch from near the volcanoes of the Andes. Then continue our journey towards Piedras Rojas, a unique landscape where
nature combines colors creating an unimaginable view.

Visit the ruins of Tulor, the Pucara (fortification) of Quitor and the Tambo (wayside inn) of the Inca, and learn about the history and evolution of the Atacama civilization.

Physical conditions acceptable to walk and climb down mountain areas are required. Trekking snack.


A good physical condition is recommendable because this trip involves walking and climbing hilly areas with a 2 hour trek along 3 km of the Guatin valley, beside the River Vilama where plants can be viewed such as fox tails and giant cardon cacti which can rise nearly 10 mts high.

No acclimatization required. Just dress with trekking shoes and use a sunscreen. Physical requirements : low. Includes lunch.


The excursion begins with a wine-tasting tour of the Puques Winery located on ancestral land amidst the driest desert in the world; with goat’s cheese, local fruits, pasties made from quince from Toconao and local Andean folklore. The tour is guided by locals from the area who provide the visitors with information on production, irrigation and the diversions
of the Andean rivers. After Puques, we travel on to Talabre located at the foot of the Lascar and Tutelar volcanoes where we have lunch that includes llama meat, vegetables and other organic garden produce straight from the high lands nearby and served in a local restaurant.

 Ayllus

From: 3:00 - 5:00 pm.

No prior acclimatization required, but be sure to wear trekking shoes and a sunscreen. Physical requirement: Low. Lasts 2 hours and includes a cocktail.
The oasis of San Pedro de Atacama is split up into 15 sectors (or ayllus in the Kunza language). During this ride on horseback we shall be able to observe the local flora, with ancient carob and native chañar trees, as well as the ancestral and modern homes built using adobe and local materials brought in from the south of the village.


Death Valley
From: 3:00 - 6:00 pm.
Rate: $65.000 chilean pesos per person.


No prior acclimatization required, but be sure to wear trekking shoes and a sunscreen. Physical requirement: medium. Lasts 2 to 3 hours and includes a cocktail.
Get to know the Salt Andes on horseback from the hotel as far as the famous Death Valley where we can admire the formations created by wind erosion over the last few thousand years as well as the vegetation typical of the area.

Catarpe and Dunes
From: 3:00 - 7:00 pm.
Rate: $85.000 chilean pesos per person.

No prior acclimatization required, but be sure to wear trekking shoes and a sunscreen. Physical requirement: high. Lasts 5 hours and includes a cocktaill.On the way toward the ayllus of Quitor and Catarpe, we shall cross a tunnel that in ancient times served as the route to Calama and which, at its exit, connected to an access to the ledges of the Salt Mountains. These ledges marked the entrance to the Valley of Death, from where we ride down and begin our return to the hotel.

Acclimatization is not required. Wear long pants or shorts, shoes or sneakers, sun hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. Be able to walk for two hours. Trekking lunch.


We cross the old tunnel of Quitor to get to the Moon Valley Cornices were we walk towards the highest dune. On the road appreciate the Salt Mountain Chain, The Andes Mountains, San Pedro’s Ayllus and the Domeykos Mountain chain After downloading the largest dune, the van will be waiting to return to the hotel.

Given the demands of the tour, it is recommended to wear long pants and windproof jacket, as well as trekking shoes and bring extra socks. Tour includes lunch.


Walk over 20 kms. toward the interior of the mountainous canyon of the Devil’s Throat inside the Salt Andes in the sector of Catarpe, where we shall observe large walls of clay and stone, crossed by sandy ground and a river, as far as the Chapel of San Isidro.

Acclimatization is not necessary, but do wear warm clothing and comfortable shoes. Includes hot beverage.
To start with, the guides explain a little of what we shall see and do on the trip which involves visual observations and also ones through the telescope.

It’s carried out at the hotel.

This tour is not done when the moon is full.

From 9:00 PM., Depending on the time of moonriseon the Andes.

Rate: $25.000 chilean pesos per person.


Given the demands of the tour, we recommend wearing long trousers, jacket and trekking shoes. Medium difficulty.
The Hotel Van will take us to the dunes of the Cordillera de la Sal, where we begin a 2 kilometers journey by foot, crossing the captivating and Silent Death Valley lit only by the light of the moon, given the clearness of our sky is enough to appreciate the geomorphology of this area.
